I am very happy to offer this wonderful 18ct intaglio bloodstone ring. The bloodstone has a fabulous engraving of a sun with a sweet face engraved with what appears to be a piece of rope below it.
I have tried to confirm the significance of the engraving and located details that it relates to the Scottish clan of Macleod. The sun represents Luceo, non uro which translates to I shine but do not burn.
Ring is used and shows signs of use to the gold and bloodstone but overall in good condition for its age. Ring is out of round as pictured but still comfortable to wear, due to this I am able to fit on my size 6 finger although a tighter fit. Under magnification you can see some abrasions/crevices to the surface of the stone from use due to age.
I have tried to show this in the pictures, you should be able to magnify them to take a closer look at the overall condition. Please note bloodstone is darker in real life as I have slightly lightened the photos in order to be able to show the intaglio clearer.
